The short of it
Yeri has no accounts and doesn't track you. Nothing you compare is stored on Yeri's server. What Yeri remembers is kept in your own browser.
What stays in your browser
On the site: the theme and sound you chose, the last token you looked at, and whether a hint has already been shown. Clearing the site's data removes them.
In the extension: the token you picked to buy, the token last read to pay with, a wallet address if you typed one, and the swaps you asked to be told about. Removing the extension removes them.
What is sent, and to whom
To answer, Yeri's server is sent the tokens to compare. It asks its price sources (DefiLlama, CoinGecko) for their prices, as any lookup of them would.
A wallet address, when you type or connect one, is sent to Yeri's server so its holdings can be read. The server passes it to the chain data it reads from (Etherscan, each chain's public nodes, a Solana node provider, ENS for names) and doesn't store it.
For a swap, the tokens, the amount and your wallet address are sent to LI.FI, which finds the route and builds the transaction. Your wallet shows it to you, and nothing is sent without your signature there. Yeri never sees your keys and never holds your funds.
If you write through the contact form, your message and the address you give are emailed to Yeri (through Resend, an email service) so they can be answered, and kept in that inbox.
Token pictures are loaded by your browser from DefiLlama's icon service and, for some Solana tokens, from where LI.FI's token list points (GitHub, IPFS). Each sees the request as any image host does.
What the server keeps
Your IP address is used, in memory and for about a minute, to limit how many requests one visitor can make. Yeri is hosted on Vercel, which keeps ordinary request logs. When something fails, the server logs the kind of failure and its cause, not who asked.
Visits to the site are counted with Vercel Web Analytics: which page, the site you came from, your country and the kind of device, added up across everyone. It uses no cookies and keeps nothing that tells one visitor from another. The extension counts nothing.
What is public anyway
A swap is a transaction on a public blockchain: once made, anyone can see it, and neither Yeri nor anyone else can remove it.
The extension
It talks only to Yeri's own site. It doesn't read the pages you visit, has no access to your browser wallet, and doesn't sign or send transactions: its "Swap" opens Yeri's site in a tab.
It checks prices every fifteen minutes, and notifies you only about a swap you asked to be told about, once, when it reaches a good moment.
Its permissions: storage (what it remembers), alarms (the check), notifications (the above), and access to Yeri's site.
